What we collect

Your name, email address, city, and anything you choose to post — events, group messages, provider profiles, marketplace listings, promotions, photos, and the phone number or contact method you add to a listing. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name and email) only.

How we use it

To run your account, show your listings to the community, notify you about nearby events and deals you opted into, review submissions, and keep the app safe.

What other people can see

Anything you publish is public to the community by design, including contact details you add to a provider profile or marketplace listing. Group conversations are visible to members of that group. Do not post information you would not want a stranger to have. Your email address is never shown to other members unless you type it into a listing yourself.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers who host the app and its database, and when required by law or to protect someone's safety.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your listings at any time and turn off notification categories in the app. You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Some records may be retained where the law requires it.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, but no online service is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee against unauthorized access.

Children

Yala is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; continued use of Yala means you accept the update.
